I take a look at some haunted locations across the globe, some of which you will most likely of heard of, and some of which you may have not.
1.)Raynham Hall:
Raynham Hall in Norfolk, England, is reportedly haunted by the ''Brown Lady'', who is identified to be Lady Dorothy Walpole, the sister of Robert Walpole, generally regarded as the first Prime Minister of Great Britain. Raynham Hall became one of the most famous hauntings in Great Britain when photographers from Country Life magazine claimed to have captured the ghost's image. 2.)Bhanghar Fort:
Bhanghar Fort in Rajasthan, India, was built in 1573 and is believed to be one of the most haunted places in the country. It is said that the fort is the home of many spirits. The Archaeological Survey of India, which manages the site, forbids anyone from staying at the fort after dark.
3.)White house:
Many stories of The White House being haunted have surfaced in the past. Many spirits, including that of first president John Adams, Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Jackson have been spotted. Winston Churchill, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, refused to spend the night after one ghostly encounter.
4.)Edinburgh Castle:
Edinburgh Castle is said to be one of Scotland’s most haunted sites. The locals believe that the castle is home to a phantom piper, a headless drummer and a spectral dog.
5.)Ancient Ram Inn
Ancient Ram Inn, in Gloucestershire, England, was built in 1145. The tales of child sacrifices, devil worship, and evil spirits are believed to be behind the terrifying happenings in this building.
6.)Aokigahara
Aokigahara, a forest at the base of Mount Fuji, has an historic association with demons in Japanese mythology. It is believed to be the second most popular place in the world for suicides. It is believed that the forest is haunted by the spirits of people who commited suicide here.
7.)Beechworth Lunatic Asylum
Beechworth Lunatic Asylum, located in Victoria, Australia served as a mental hospital from 1867 until 1995. It is said that this abandoned place is now haunted by spirits of patients who died here.
8.)Castle of Good Hope
The Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town, South Africa, was built in the 17th century by the Dutch East India Company. Many stories of the place being haunted have come up in the past.
9.)Diplomat Hotel
Diplomat Hotel, in the Philippines, was used as a monastery. The clergy were executed by the Japanese during WWII and the building was used as a Sanatorium. After the war, it was converted into a hotel. Locals claim that the hotel is haunted and houses ghosts of the people who were executed.
10.)Dragsholm Slot
Dragsholm Slot, a castle in Denmark, was were used to house prisoners of noble or ecclesiastical rank in 16th and 17th century. It is said that the castle is haunted by at least three ghosts: a grey lady, a white lady, and the ghost of one its prisoners.
11.)Hashima Island
Hashima Island, located 15 km from Nagasaki, was used as a coal mining facility between 1887 and 1974. After petroleum replaced coal throughout Japan in the 1960s, Hashima was abandoned, and is now known as "Ghost Island".
12.)Dayingpan Village
Dayingpan Village, known by locals in the surrounding area as "ghost village", used to be the place of exile for lepers, and is now home to around 80 families, including 105 residents still suffering from the disease. (Reuters/)
